Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account data: name, email, hashed password (or OAuth identifier), and billing details we receive from our payment processor.
Usage data: the text you submit, voice samples you upload, audio we generate for you, request metadata (timestamps, IP, user-agent), and aggregated counters used to enforce plan limits.
Operational logs: server-side logs and error reports needed to keep the Service running and to investigate abuse.

How we use it

To provide, secure, and improve the Service.
To enforce plan limits, prevent fraud, and respond to abuse reports.
To send transactional emails (verification, password resets, billing receipts).
To send product updates only with your consent; you can opt out at any time.

Model training

We do not train our TTS or voice-cloning models on your text, voice samples, or generated audio without your explicit opt-in. Stock voices in the public library are trained on consented or licensed datasets only.

Sharing

We share data only with sub-processors strictly necessary to operate the Service: cloud hosting (Cloudflare R2 for audio storage), database (Supabase), GPU inference providers, email (transactional), and payment processing. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Generated audio: retained until you delete it or close your account.
Voice clones: retained until you delete the profile.
Operational logs: up to 90 days.
Billing records: as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, and similar), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Submit a request to privacy@talkgen.app and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to a small number of authorised personnel and audited. Despite our efforts, no system is perfectly secure; if we detect a breach affecting your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

Children

The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance.
